A short note to acknowledge that geothermal energy company Ormat Technologies have announced that the Heber South geothermal power project has been brought to commercial operation. The geothermal power palnt is located in the Imperial Valley, California and has a potential capacity of 10MW.

The Heber South geothermal power project is integrated into the Heber Complex and brings the potential capacity of the entire operation to 92MW. Heber SOuth is also Ormat’s second geothermal power operation to reach commercial operation since the start of the year.
