As of this morning, Lori at SES says their website should be back up later this week but she doesn't know when.

If people want to know more about the status of the SES project for Southern California Edison, they should check with the Barstow office of the Bureau of Land Management (760)252-6000 and the California Energy Commission (916) 654-4287.

If people want to know more about the status of the SES project for San Diego Gas & Electric, they should check with the El Centro office of Bureau of Land Management (760)337-4400 and the California Energy Commission (916) 654-4287.

The BLM and CEC are responsible for permitting. The status of the projects is public information.

Regarding the 31.25% efficiency announcement, I don't believe efficiency is the key technical obstacle to be overcome. Everyone I've talked to says it's reliability.
