Wind Power | Aulac Wind Farm
It’s all busy, busy, busy in the province of New Brunswick with another wind farm announcement cheering Premier Shawn Graham no end. Acciona Wind Energy will be constructing the Aulac Wind Farm, a 64.5MW power plant that the company will also own and operate.
The company will also enter into a 25 year powr purchase agreement with NB Power, similar to the details that have been made for the power from the Lameque Wind Farm.
The all important vital statistics for the facility are as follows: there will be 43 Acciona Windpower wind turbines sprinkled around the area, which will provide 177,870 MW hours of power per year. This will be roughly enough power to meet the electricity needs of about 10,300 homes.
It’s expected that the Aulac Wind Farm will be in service by November 2009 with the cost of the new facility running to around $125 million.
