Wind Power | Channing Flats Wind Energy Project
NACEL Energy has announced that they will be developing a new 20MW wind project in Moore County, Texas, that will be known as the Channing Flats Wid Energy Project. The project is being developed in the Texas panhandle which is known as one of the best wind corridors in the country due to the flat topography added to a constant wind velocity and good access to transmission infrastructure.
The new wind power project will generate enough electricity to power around 6,000 homes.
NACEL Energy President Brian Lavery stated:
“The Channing Flats power generation project enhances NACEL Energy’s present operations and brings us closer to achieving the Company’s primary goal of developing 80-megawatts of new wind power capacity over a 36 month period”
The proposed Channing Flats Wind Power plant follows the announcement of the 20MW Blue Creek Project as NACEL energy brings its total capacity to 80MW with a series of 4 20MW wind power plants.
At this point there’s no word on when the project is expected to be brought on-line.
