French renewable energy company EDF Energies Nouvelle, under its US subsidiary EnXco, has obtained a permit to build a 150MW wind farm in Solano County, California. Shiloh II will comprise of 75 REpower wind turbines each with 2MW capacity and is backed by a 20 year power puchase agreement with US electricity company Pacific Gas & Electric.
This proposed wind farm strengthens EDF Energies Nouvelle’s strong renewable energy presence in California with the gross capacity owned by subsidiary EnXco brought up to a total of 448MW from 15 California wind farms.
